Longship Member Terms

Version v3 · Effective July 12, 2026

By accepting these terms, you agree to the following:

1. Membership

Longship membership provides access to member features, listings, events, expeditions, and offers made available through Longship. Availability is not guaranteed. Some opportunities have additional eligibility, payment, safety, or participation requirements.

You must provide accurate account, profile, payment, and emergency-contact information and keep it current. You are responsible for activity through your account.

2. Payments

Membership fees and other charges are shown before purchase. You authorize the displayed charge when you complete checkout.

Commitment Locks, event payments, refunds, credits, and final balances are governed by the terms shown for the applicable listing and the Commitment Lock Terms.

3. Member responsibilities

You must:

  • follow the Longship Conduct Rules;
  • follow reasonable safety instructions from Longship, hosts, operators, and venue staff;
  • assess whether an activity is appropriate for your health, experience, and abilities;
  • obtain any required travel documents, insurance, equipment, or permissions identified in the listing;
  • meet payment, confirmation, and response deadlines; and
  • promptly tell Longship when you cannot fulfil a commitment.

4. Changes and availability

Listings may change or be cancelled because of safety, weather, operator availability, participation levels, or other circumstances. The applicable listing terms will state the available refund, replacement, credit, or election process.

5. Standing and access

Longship may record attendance, completed commitments, missed deadlines, forfeitures, and conduct incidents as part of your Expedition Standing.

Longship may restrict or pause access when required by the published standing rules, for unpaid amounts, for safety reasons, or for a material breach of these terms or the Conduct Rules.

6. Suspension or termination

Longship may suspend or terminate membership for serious or repeated breaches, unsafe conduct, harassment, fraud, misuse of the service, or non-payment.

You may stop using Longship or cancel your membership through the available account or support process. Cancellation does not erase obligations already accepted for a listing. Refunds remain subject to the applicable published terms and law.

7. Privacy and communications

Longship may use your information to operate memberships, payments, listings, safety processes, and member communications. Emergency-contact information will be used for safety and operational purposes.

You agree to receive service communications concerning payments, deadlines, safety, listings, and changes affecting your commitments.

8. Legal rights

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded. If these terms conflict with applicable consumer-protection law, that law governs.

9. Changes to these terms

Longship may publish a new version of these terms. When acceptance of a new version is required, you must accept it before using gated member actions. Your acceptance record will retain the version you accepted.

10. Contact

Questions, cancellations, or notices may be sent through the contact method published by Longship.

By selecting "I accept," you confirm that you have read and agree to this version of the Longship Member Terms and the Longship Conduct Rules.

Longship Conduct Rules

Version v3 · Effective July 12, 2026

Longship members must:

  1. Treat members, guests, staff, hosts, operators, and the public with respect.
  2. Follow applicable laws, venue rules, and reasonable safety instructions.
  3. Disclose relevant experience or limitations honestly when an activity requires them.
  4. Arrive prepared, on time, and with required equipment and documents.
  5. Avoid harassment, discrimination, threats, violence, bullying, or unwanted sexual conduct.
  6. Avoid conduct that creates an unreasonable safety risk, including participating while impaired.
  7. Respect privacy. Do not publish another person's private information or identifiable images where consent is reasonably expected.
  8. Protect locations, property, wildlife, and the environment.
  9. Do not misuse Longship accounts, payments, listings, member information, or communications.
  10. Report serious safety or conduct concerns promptly.

Longship may remove a person from an activity or restrict membership access when reasonably necessary for safety or to address a suspected breach. Serious or repeated breaches may result in suspension or termination.

Emergency action may be taken without advance notice. Where practical, Longship will tell the affected member what occurred and provide a way to respond.

These rules do not replace activity-specific safety requirements or operator terms.
